This is the update where
we tell you that there really isn’t much of an update. We are learning to roll with the punches and
live with uncertainty of what each week has in store for us and baby girl. Depending on how the legal issues shake out,
we are now looking at anywhere from two to six more weeks of waiting. Of course, we’ve experienced how quickly
things can change, and so are holding onto the “two to six more weeks” idea
rather loosely.
Jason is moving back to a
normal work schedule, which is fantastic for him because he’ll get to sleep
more and also have Saturdays off again. In
addition, he will now be working out of a different building,
which will be a nice change of pace for him.
I’m in limbo with my work right now.
I transitioned most of my responsibilities to other people as of May 1st
because we were expecting to have baby girl home with us the next week. I kept some of my most essential
responsibilities with the plan of working part time and mostly from home, and
that is what I’ve been doing. When I’m
not busy with work, I can usually be found running errands, actually keeping up
with the laundry for once, or visiting with friends. It’s been a delightful change of pace.
Our last visit with baby
girl was yesterday. She turns two months
old on Sunday, and this visit was so much fun because she was so alert and
really seemed to interact with us. Her
eyes are stunningly gorgeous. And I have
hair envy – her hair is so beautiful!
Her little button nose and her little fingers and toes are as adorable
as you’d expect. We can’t wait to be
able to share pictures!
Please keep praying –
specifically for the legal situation to be resolved as quickly as possible, and
for us to remain flexible, hopeful, and thankful.
Keeping you in our prayers. Love you guys!
